Handmade ceramic butter bells, designed to keep your butter fresh and spreadable. The enclosed ceramic design is air-tight, keeping your butter insulated so it can be stored at room temperature and remain fresh.
Tightly pack your butter into the lid of the vessel with a knife or the back of a spoon, and put a splash of water (1-2cm high) with a pinch of salt in the base compartment. The water creates an air-tight seal when the vessel is closed, keeping the butter fresher for longer. Replace the water every 2-3 days for best results.
Small holds around half a standard block of butter (approx. 125g), and measures approximately 9-10cm wide and 7-8cm high.
Large comfortably holds a full 250g block of butter and measures approximately 11cm wide and 9-10cm high.
Teal is a blue-green matte finish, which sometimes features crystallisation along the pot’s base. Cream is a neutral off-white, with warm tones and a satin texture. Mocha is a warm toned brown – a timeless neutral with a matte feel. As each piece is hand formed, the glaze, shape and size may vary slightly from the images displayed.
